Three Men's Soccer Players Named to NSCAA All-South Atlantic Regional Team

WASHINGTON, DC (Nov. 28, 2001) - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) named senior midfielder Matt Pilkington (Manchester, England/ Sheffield Hallam), junior forward Matthew Osborne (Bingham, Notts, England/Toothill Comprehensive) and freshman forward Arnar Johannsson (Reykjavik, Iceland/C.C. of Iceland) to their All-South Atlantic Regional Teams.

Pilkington, who was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference first team earlier this year, was voted onto the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Regional second team. Pilkington led the Colonials in points (27) and was tied for the team lead in assists (7), and goals (10).

Osborne had his second stellar season in a row, scoring 26 points on 10 goals and six assists. Osborne was a member of last season's NSCAA All-South Atlantic Regional second team, and was again honored by being voted onto this season's third team.

Johannsson adds to his already growing list of accolades, which includes the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year award, by being named to the NSCAA All-South Atlantic Regional third team. Johannsson made an immediate impact as a Colonial, scoring 10 goals and notching 2 assists in 13 games.
