KINGSTON, RI (Oct. 10, 1999) -- Rhode Island's Steven DeMoura scored one goal and assisted on another to lead Rhode Island to a 2-0 victory over visiting George Washington in Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer action at the URI Soccer Complex.
The Rams, who have now won nine of their last 10 matches, improve to 5-0 in the conference with the win.
DeMoura scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 26th minute off a Nicholas McCreath assist. The goal was DeMoura's sixth in the past four matches.
Raymie Marchuk added an insurance goal in the 75th minute for Rhode Island. Anthony Curtis provided the second assist on each Rhode Island tally.
The Rams outshot GW 17-2 for the match. Rhode Island golkeeper Mark Bryant tallied one save, while GW's Michael Jelencovich recorded two.
