WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington Colonials Men's Squash team started off their 2008-09 season in roaring fashion last night when they shutout their cross-town rival Georgetown by the score of 9-0.

The young George Washington 12-man team features 6 freshman, 2 sophomores, 2 juniors and 2 seniors. The team has more depth than ever before thanks to newcomer and #1 Jose Calderon and Junior, Matt Grossman and co- captains Brad Birenbaum and Mike Bower. The George Washington Men start their season ranked an impressive #26 nationally and they are shooting to break into the top 20 this season after a long and difficult match schedule that takes them from Annapolis to Maine.

The Colonials will return to the court when they head to Annapolis to face the quartet of UNC/UVa/Vanderbilt and Georgetown.
