WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University men's squash team began their 2006-07 season in disappointing fashion over the weekend, as they were overpowered by Franklin & Marshall, 9-0.

The F&M Diplomats came into the match ranked 15th in the College Squash Association's Pre-Season Rankings, while the Colonials entered the season 29th. It was the first competition for GW under new head coach Jude Odeh, the former Nigerian National Champion who recently took over the team.

George Washington continues their fall play this weekend when they travel to Annapolis, MD, to compete in the Navy Invitational. On Saturday, they will face #32 Columbia at 9:00 a.m., Miami at 11:00 a.m. and #37 Virginia at 2:30 p.m. Their final match will be on Sunday at 12:00 p.m., against #23 Hobart.
