Squash Concludes CSA Individual Nationals

WASHINGTON – The George Washington squash team completed a successful weekend hosting the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Nationals on Sunday.

Freshman Zoe Foo Yuk Han earned CSA Second Team All-American recognition after defeating Columbia’s Madeline O’Connor 8-11, 12-10, 11-8, 11-9 in the finals of the Holleran East bracket. Junior Moudy Abdel-Maksoud also finished the weekend with CSA Second Team All-American honors after playing in the Pool Trophy (A-Division) on the men’s side as one of the top-16 ranked players in the country.

After falling in the first round of the Holleran West bracket, sophomore Engy Elmandouh went on to win her consolation final on Sunday morning. Elmandouh topped Princeton’s Madison Soukup 6-11, 11-2, 10-12, 11-5, 11-8 to secure her consolation victory.
