Aug. 31, 2017

WASHINGTON -- For the first time in program history, the George Washington men's and women's squash teams will play host to the 2018 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual Championships.

"We are very excited that GW has been chosen to host the 2018 CSA Individual Championships this March," said head coach Wendy Lawrence. "The annual event is the final match of the college squash season and it showcases the top 80 players in college squash, eventually crowing the U.S. Men's and Women's Individual National Champions and the twenty college All-Americans. We are honored that we were selected as hosts for this most prestigious college squash tournament."

Chosen after a vote by varsity coaches, teams will play at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts in the Lerner Health & Wellness Center as well as the new Squash on Fire club, located just blocks away from campus. The Individual Championships will be played outside of the Northeast for only the second time ever and for the first time in Washington, D.C.

Competition is set to start on Thursday, March 2 and conclude on Sunday, March 4.
