GW Men's Squash Team Preparing for Season Opener

Oct. 20, 2009

WASHINGTON, DC - Seventh-ranked U-19 freshman, Omar Sobhy, joins the team in the top ladder spot followed by sophomore Jose Calderon and senior captain Matt Grossman. Exeter standout, Player Haynes comes to GW along with freshman Sam Ehrlich (Brooks School) with hopes of cracking the top 7. Returning sophomores Mike Nair, Brett Feldman, Sam Moreno and Scott West sustain the strong middle ladder spots along with junior co-captain, Mike Bower who is abroad until December.

The Colonials have scheduled some of the top teams in the nation this year in hopes of upsetting some of the sport's heavyweights such as Dartmouth, Yale, Brown, Williams and Navy.

The Colonials season starts at home on November 6 at 5:00 pm against rival Georgetown.
