No. 19 Men's Squash Set for Sunday Doubleheader

WASHINGTON - The No. 19 George Washington men's squash team hits the road for the first time this season with a visit to Annapolis, Md., on Sunday to face Johns Hopkins (9:30 a.m.) and Hobart (12:00 p.m.).

GW (1-0) opened its 2013-14 campaign last Friday with a 9-0 victory over Georgetown at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center.

The Colonials won seven of nine matches in straight sets with six different newcomers earning victories in their collegiate debuts.

WASHINGTON - The No. 17 George Washington men's squash team won seven-of-eight matches in straight sets en route to an 8-0 triumph over visiting Johns Hopkins on Friday evening at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts at Lerner Health & Wellness Center.

No. 16 Men's Squash Off to 3-0 Start after Pair of Wins
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The No. 16-ranked George Washington men's squash team won a pair of matches on Sunday at the Navy Round Robin over No. 25 Hobart and Kenyon College to move to 3-0 on the season. The Colonials won both matches 9-0.

Freshmen Andres de Frutos and Nicolas Valderrama, playing No. 1 and No. 2 on the ladder, respectively, each swept their opponents. Also recording straight-set wins were sophomores James Reiss and Reid Breck, junior David Moxley and freshmen Ari Bental and Josh Marks.

Next weekend, GW hits the road for its first away contests of the season. The Colonials will face No. 12 Columbia (Sat., 5:00 p.m.) and No. 14 Penn (Sun, 3:00 p.m.).
