WASHINGTON – The George Washington men’s squash team is set to host No. 17 Virginia on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for the Washington-Jefferson Cup at the Matthew J. Grossman Squash Courts in the Lerner Health and Wellness Center.

LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials pushed No. 8 Princeton to a 6-3 finish in their second straight match against a top-10 opponent on November 19. Moudy Abdel-Maksoud opened his season with a 3-1 victory at the No. 3 position on the ladder, while Jamie Oakley came out on top in a 3-2 battle at No. 4 and Juan Sebastian Laguna completed a 3-0 sweep at No. 7.

WASHINGTON-JEFFERSON CUP: The Washington-Jefferson Cup started last season as an annual rivalry between the Colonials and the Cavaliers. The winner is decided by the cumulative score of the men’s and women’s matches. GW will look to hold onto the cup this season after defeating Virginia, 25-11, in 2016-17.
