Freshman Reid Breck ran his individual record to 9-0 by picking up four wins as the No. 16 George Washington men's squash team played to a 3-1 record during a weekend road trip in New England.
Breck, who has held firm at the No. 6 position on the ladder for the Colonials, opened his weekend with a 3-1 over Michael Coscarelli of Connecticut College. He prevailed in five sets against Amherst's David Kerr on Saturday and picked up his third win with a four-set triumph over Colby's Ben York on Sunday morning.
On Sunday, Breck defeated Matthew Mackin of No. 3 Trinity, the 39th best player in the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual rankings. Breck faltered in the fourth set with a 2-1 advantage but finished off the match for the 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 8-11, 11-5 victory.
