High School: Named a National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA) All-American in 2012...Helped Lake Forest squad finish third at state championships...State qualifier and all-state selection...Also competed for CATS Aquatic Team where he helped the 200-meter medley relay set an age group record in two divisions (Boys 17-18 and Boys 15-18) at the National Club Swimming Association (NCSA) Long Course Championships...Also helped CATS squad to first-place finishes in the 200 free, 400 free and 400 medley relays and an overall men's division title.

Personal: Born Bogdan Balteanu on May 17, 1995 in Bucharest, Romania...Son of Elena and Vlad Balteanu...Intends to major in biomedical engineering.
