Prior to GW: Transferred to GW from Iowa Central Community College...As a rookie, took home second in the 200-yard butterfly, third in the 200-yard individual medley and third in the 400 IM at the NJCAA Championships...Finished third in the 200 IM, third in the 200 fly and fifth in the 400 IM as a sophomore at the NJCAA Championships.
High School: As a junior, finished second in the 200-yard butterfly, third in the 100-yard butterfly and third in the 200-yard individual medley at the Croatian Nationals...Took home third in the 200 IM and the 200 fly as a sophomore...Also competed for OLIMP.
Personal: Born Goran Koprivnjak on May 22, 1991 in Zagreb, Croatia...Son of Biserka and Zdravko Koprivnjak...Has an older sister, Valentina...Intends to major in business administration.
