Zenk Shatters Another Conference Record at Atlantic 10 Championships

BUFFALO, NY - David Zenk had another record setting performance as the Colonials moved up one spot to seventh place after the third day of the Atlantic 10 Championships.

Zenk recorded a 3:54.94 in the 400-yard IM, breaking the previous Atlantic 10 record by one hundreth of a second. Cascade Tuholske also placed well in the medley in a time of 4:13.89, good for 14th place.

Zenk was also a key member of a seventh place 400-yard medley relay team along with Joanathan Sabin, Rick Rogers and Dan Mahoney.

Mahoney, Sabin, and Rogers all had solid individual performances on the day as well. Mahoney finished fifth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:42.07. Jeff Cohn also scored in the event finishing 15th in 1:44.69.

Sabin touched the wall sixth in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 52.00.

Rogers finished 14th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:00.75.

The fourth and final day of the Atlantic 10 Championships will begin tomorrow at 10:30 am with the preliminary trials. The finals of those events will begin at 6:30 pm.
