Men's Swimming Opens Season Fourth at Potomac Relays

Oct. 5, 2007

Washington, DC - The men's swimming & diving team opened their 2007-08 season tonight at the Potomac Relays hosted by American University. The meet consisted of four local teams, competing in several different relay events that are not seen throughout the season, but some quite familiar.

The men finished third in three relays on the night. Freshmen David Meyer and Konrad Kopczinsky, as well as junior Tom Pullen were all members of two third place-finishing teams.

Meyer and Kopczinsky swam the first and second leg of both the 500 and 200-yard freestyle relays. Fellow freshman and senior Danny Johnson joined the pair in the 500-yard while Johnson and junior Tom Pullen were both members of the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Pullen anchored the 300-yard breaststroke relay team to a third place finish as well. The native of New City, NY was joined by freshman Andrew Maguire and senior Mark DeSimone.

The men's swimming & diving team will be in action next Saturday, as they travel to Annapolis, MD to compete against Navy and Loyola.
