GW Men's Swimming in Second After Day 1 of American-Catholic Tri-Meet

Day 1 Results Senior Luke Quimby earned the Colonials’ lone first-place finish of the night when he touched the wall in 21.60 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle. Sophomore Sean Rhinehart closely followed Quimby in fourth with a time of 22.26 seconds. Freshman Oliver Keegan landed second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.29, followed by classmate Jordan Sharples in fourth in 4:54.28 and junior Spencer Neff in fifth with a time of 5:00.22. Junior Jake Mortensen was the Colonials’ top finisher in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:04.42, good enough for an eighth-place finish. The Colonials return to action inside American’s Reeves Aquatic Center on Saturday morning.
