PHILADELPHIA, PA - The George Washington swim team fell Saturday at Drexel Pool when the men's team took part in a double dual meet against Drexel (154-133) and Villanova (162-130), while the women's team took on Drexel (201-83).

GW's freshmen men again gave head coach Dan Rhinehart and his staff a strong showing and reason for optimism for the future. Niklas Glenesk won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:44.85, while Alex Etz took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.59. Stephan Franke completed the 200-yard IM in under 2 minutes.

The Colonials women's team also got a strong performance from senior Katrina Timlin in winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:09.93. Timlin took second place in the 50-yard freestyle (25.71). Sarah Beggs won the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:00.05.

The Colonials next compete Nov. 20-22 in the Patriot Invitational, hosted by George Mason University, in Fairfax, VA.
