Day One Results

FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Washington men’s swimming team acquired 119 points to sit in fifth place out of eight teams on the first day of George Mason’s Patriot Invitational.

The Colonials are joined by American, Howard, Seton Hall, Shippensburg, UMBC, UNC Wilmington and host George Mason at the annual meet held in Jim McKay Natatorium.

The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Luke Quimby, Niccolo Wilson, Alex Etz and Marshall Seedorff landed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:25.30.

Seedorff then earned an impressive third place in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 20.95 seconds. Just .29 seconds separated Seedorff and UNCW’s top finisher.

Phillip Graeter finished eighth in the 200-yard individual medley, clocking in at 1:56.38.

Joe Lipworth, Adam Rabe, Graeter and Quimby took home seventh in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:31.17.
