WASHINGTON – The George Washington men’s and women’s swimming teams head to nearby George Mason on Saturday for their regular season finale. Action inside the Patriots’ Jim McKay Natatorium at the Aquatics and Fitness Center is slated for 12 p.m.

“It will be good to face a conference opponent for our last dual meet and I think we match-up really well,” said Head Coach Dan Rhinehart. “This gives us an opportunity to put up some good times as we head into the final weeks of training as we approach the A-10 Championships.”

GW is coming off its home finale at the Charles E. Smith Center Pool two weekends ago in which the women defeated crosstown rival Georgetown, 160.5-94.5, and then men were narrowly defeated, 136-125.

Seniors Caroline Myers and Lindsay Moore, in addition to junior Janica Lee and freshman Carly Whitmer, led the way for the Colonials against the Hoyas. For their efforts, Myers – who won four events in the final home meet of her career – and Lee – who won three races – were tabbed the Colonials of the Week. Junior Goran Koprivnjak paced the GW men’s team with four victories against Georgetown while classmate Adam Rabe won three events.

Mason most recently competed in a quad meet on Saturday against American, Army and Boston University. The Patriots’ women’s team went 2-1, defeating the Eagles and the Black Knights, while the men’s team went 1-2, securing a win over AU.
