George Washington swimming and diving opens its home slate with a pair of meets at Charles E. Smith Center Pool on Colonials Weekend.

The women's squad kicks off the action Friday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Marshall. On Saturday, both sides match up against ACC foe Boston College in a 2:30 p.m.

This weekend, GW will also celebrate its 2017 Atlantic 10 men's swimming and diving title. The Colonials will receive their championship rings at their annual awards banquet on Friday night before unveiling a title banner at the pool prior to Saturday's meet. That ceremony is set to begin at approximately 2:20 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials got their dual meet season off to a flying start last Saturday. Both sides scored wins over host Howard with the women also adding a victory over Chowan.

Andrea Ho was named Colonial of the Week after winning a pair of individual events, while Youssef Ragab claimed Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors in recognition of a strong collegiate debut.

SCOUTING MARSHALL: Marshall opened the season two weeks ago by finishing second out of seven squads at the West Virginia Games. The Thundering Herd placed third in Conference USA last season.

SCOUTING BOSTON COLLEGE: The Eagles are coming off wins on both sides at last weekend's New England Catholic Invitational. They're set to start their stay in the area Friday with a dual meet at Loyola (Md.).

COMING UP: GW has next weekend off before hosting A-10 competitor Davidson on Nov. 4. It's a 10 a.m. start at Charles E. Smith Center Pool.
