David Zenk Named Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week

PHILADELPHIA, PA - The Atlantic 10 Conference announced today that junior David Zenk (St. Louis, MO/St. Louis Country Day School) has been named the A-10 Men's Swimming & Diving Performer of the Week. This marks the fifth time in Zenk's career that he has received a conference weekly honor.

This past weekend in a two-day annual meet at local rivals Catholic and American, Zenk competed in six events and not only won each event, but established meet records in all six as well. On Friday at Catholic, The conference record holder in the 200-yard and 400-yard IM set record times in both the 50-yard and 500-yard freestyles in 21.42 and 4:44.09, respectively.

The two-sport athlete, who also specializes in Water Polo (45 Goals, 37 Assists), set four more meet records Saturday at American, posting winning times in the 100-yard backstroke (52.34), 200-yard backstroke (1:53.88), 100-yard freestyle (47.20) and 200-yard freestyle (1:44.11).

Zenk and the Colonials' next competition is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 against conference rival La Salle at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The diving portion of the meet will start at 11:00 am, while the swimming half will begin at 1:00 pm.
