Swimming & Diving Hosts La Salle Saturday

Nov. 2, 2007

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University men's and women's swimming & diving teams will host Atlantic 10 rival La Salle on Saturday, November 3 at the Charles E. Smith Athletic Center. The diving portion of the meet will start at 11:00 am while the swim portion will begin at 1:00 pm.

The Colonials are returning to action for the first time since their two-day annual meet at local rivals Catholic and American. Both teams had many solid performances as junior David Zenk and freshman Paola Leor received Atlantic 10 weekly honors. Zenk received the A-10 Performer of the Week for the fifth time in his career after setting six meet records on the weekend. Leor was named the conference Rookie of the Week for her meet record in the 50-yard freestyle.

The Explorers women are coming off a victory over CW Post, while the men defeated both Seton Hall and Villanova. La Salle's men and women placed 4th and 6th, respectively at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championships in Buffalo, NY.
