Junior Nikita Fomin went undefeated in No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles to help GW men's tennis reach its fourth straight Atlantic 10 title match. Competing in his first A-10 Championship, Fomin cruised to straight-sets victories over singles opponents from Richmond and Charlotte, and he and freshman Danil Zelenkov limited their doubles foes to three points each to help the Colonials sweep the Spiders and 49ers to reach Sunday's title match. The Moscow, Russia native's most impressive victory on the weekend came against VCU's Max Wennakoski - the No. 28 player in the nation. After dropping the first set, Fomin claimed the next two sets in tiebreakers to defeat Wennakoski to extend the championship tilt to doubles play, where the Colonials nearly upset the nationally ranked Rams.
