He also gained coaching experience at WSU as a student coach, where he assisted in day-to-day operations with the men's team and facilities as well as help with team and individual practices. During the summer of 2008 and 2009, Briceno led the Junior Elite Tennis Program at The Tennis Academy at Harvard. At the summer academy, he was able to teach and organize drills, while supervising other tennis instructors. Prior to playing at Wichita State, Briceno was the Tennis Pro and Recruiter for the Horacio De la Pena Tennis Academy in Santiago, Chile. Briceno also has experience on the professional tennis circuit when he traveled as a hitting partner with Fernando Gonzales in 2004-2005. He also played in the German league in 2004 and 2005, moving on from the South American tour from 2002-2004. Briceno ranked in the top 5 in Chile at 14-under and 16-under competition. |
