Hane Wins At Number One Singles and Doubles

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington University's men's tennis team lost its third-in-a-row, 4-3, to James Madison on Friday, January 30 at the Montclair Tennis Club. The Colonials won three singles matches, but were unable to secure the deciding doubles point.
Senior Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud School) picked up two victories on the day, one at number one singles and one, with partner Brett Warner (Vienna, VA/James Madison), at number one doubles. Junior Matt Treadgold (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central) and sophomore Marius Weigert (Hamburg, Germany/ESI International Academy) scored the other two victories for GW at numbers two and four singles, respectively.
The Colonials will look to get back into the win column when they face American at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 31 at Montclair Tennis Club.
