WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington men's tennis team defeated the Temple Owls Friday afternoon 4-3.

Sophomore doubles duo of Chris Kushma and Yan Levinski won their No. 2 doubles match 8-5, proving to be the only doubles win for the Colonials.

It was freshman Alex Sohaili who clinched the win for the Colonials in the No. 5 singles spot with a 6-4, 7-5 win.

Ugur Atalay won his third singles match of the season over two-time Atlantic 10 performer of the week Filip Rams.

Co-captain Erik Hannah was also victorious in his No. 3 singles match, as did Levinski at No. 2 and freshman Chris Seckman at No. 6.

Men's Tennis next travels to face Richmond on Feb. 20 at 2:30 p.m.

1) Atalay/Hannah lost Rams/Saavedra 8-6

2) Levinski/Kushma won Villasquez/Stephanides 8-5

3) Sohaili/Seckman lost Vizhunov/Spunda 8-4

Singles

1) Ugur Atalay won Filip Rams 6-3, ret.

2) Yan Levinski won R Vilasquez 6-3,6-1

3) Erik Hannah won Nate Spunda 6-3, 6-1

4) Chris Kushma lost D Vizhunov 6-1, 6-4

5) Alex Sohaili won M Gishkaev 6-4, 7-5
