Men's Tennis Hammers Temple 7-0

WASHINGTON, DC - The GW Men's Tennis team swept Temple, 7-0, at the GW-Mount Vernon Tennis Facility on Friday, February 28. The victory evened the Colonials' record at 4-4. Junior Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud School) secured two victories by beating Tyler Wynne at number one singles and teaming with freshman Marius Weigert (Hamburg, Germany/ESI International Academy) to win at number one doubles. Sophomores Matt Treadgold (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central) and Jake Jopling (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) also posted two wins on the day. The Colonials will look to win their second in a row on Saturday, March 1 when they face Maryland-Baltimore County at the Montclair Tennis Club at 12:00 p.m.
