Men's Tennis Continues Hot Streak Against Howard

WASHINGTON, DC - The GW Men's Tennis team swept its third straight match, 7-0, on Friday, March 7 versus Howard at the GW - Mount Vernon Tennis Facility. The win improved the team's record to 6-4 on the season. Junior Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud School) posted two more victories at number one singles and doubles with partner, freshman Marius Weigert (Hamburg, Germany/ESI International Academy). Weigert was also victorious at number four singles. Sophomores Matt Treadgold (Glenmont, NY/Behtlehem Central) and Jake Jopling (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) each won at number two and three singles, respectively and then teamed to earn a victory at number two doubles. Junior Brett Warner (Vienna, VA/James Madison) and freshman Jason Sucoll (Simsbury, CT/Simsbury) each won their third singles match in a row, and then teamed to win at number three doubles. The Colonials will look to make it four in a row when they face Towson at the GW - Mount Vernon Tennis Facility on Saturday, March 8 at 12:00 p.m.
