Men's Tennis Dominates Delaware

MCLEAN, VA - George Washington men's tennis (3-7) cruised past the University of Delaware (1-5) on Saturday, 7-0, winning all of their matches in straight sets. The Colonials are 3-0 at their home court in McLean, VA, this season. GW won all three doubles matches to earn the point, including the dominating 8-2 victory by Sam Salyer and Elliott Daniels. No. 1 seed Mustafa Gencsoy led the Colonials in the singles play, winning his match 6-3, 6-2. In fact, GW took all six singles matches in straight sets. Salyer won 7-5, 7-5 from the No. 2 spot and Brandon Harris was a winner from the third position. Fourth seeded Mark Doumba won his match 6-0, 6-3 and Maxx Wattenberg completed the sweep from the sixth spot 6-2, 6-2. Daniels, the No. 5 seed, continued his strong play this season and has already won more matches this year than all of 2005-06. The Colonials are at William & Mary on Friday for a match with the Tribe at 1:00 p.m.
