WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington men's tennis team split two matches in Ohio on March 5 and 6. The Colonials (8-6) defeated Dayton, 6-1, but fell to Xavier the next day, 5-2. Versus Dayton, GW had three players win both singles and doubles matches led by junior Matt Treadgold (Glenmont, NY/Bethlehem Central), who won at number two singles and number three doubles. The Colonials could only manage two wins versus Xavier with senior Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud) winning at number one singles and Treadgold extending his singles winning streak to 11 with a victory at number two.

The Colonials will have about two weeks before they take the courts against Mary Washington on March 22 in Fredericksburg, VA.
