2010 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Bracket Get Acrobat Reader

MONROEVILLE, PA- GW men's tennis defeated Richmond, 4-1, in the first round of the 2010 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship at Club4Life. GW will face Temple on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the second round of the tournament.

Chris Kushma and Erik Hannah beat Richmond's AJ Nelson and Jesse Feder, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles to start the day. The Colonials dropped the doubles point as Richmond took the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches, to take an early 1-0 lead.

GW bounced back in singles action. Ugur Atalay won in straight sets over Sebastien Fauchet 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Kushma also made quick work of his Richmond opponent, Nelson, 6-3, 6-4, at No. 3 singles play.

Colonials won at No. 4 and No. 5 singles to wrap up the 4-1 victory. Yan Levinski defeated Will Minter, 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles while Richard Blumenfeld was victorious at No. 5 singles 6-3, 7-5 over Dylan Schrode.
