Men’s Tennis Takes Home A Flight Doubles Title

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The George Washington men’s tennis team finished play at the Joe Hunt Invitational, hosted by Navy, on Sunday afternoon.

Seniors Chris Fletcher and Christos Hadjigeorgiou grabbed the A Flight Doubles Title with a victory over fellow GW pair Jakub Behun and Chris Reynolds, 6-3. Fletcher and Hajigeorgiou defeated Navy’s Greg Durham and Zach Jennings, 6-4, in the semifinal round to make it to the championship match.

In singles play, Hadjigeourgiou fought hard in the B Flight singles final, but ultimately fell to Juan Araoz, 6-3, 6-3, to take second place.

The Colonials will be back in action when they head Lynchburg, Virginia for ITA Regionals starting on October 19.
