Kushma and Hannah Excel in Princeton Farnsworth Invitational

Oct. 1, 2008

PRINCETON, NJ - George Washington Men's Tennis traveled to Princeton last weekend for the Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational and a pair of sophomores emerged with great results. Sophomores Chris Kushma and Erik Hannah both defeated two competitors before falling in the third round of the Princeton Farnsworth Invitational.

Head Coach Greg Munoz was pleased with his team's effort. "Our results were once again very solid," said Munoz. "Making it to Sunday was one of our goals. Erik Hannah was 1 point away from being in the semifinals. He succumbed to cramping and was unable to finish the match. Lessons were learned and with our new strength and conditioning coaches, I expect a successful spring season. Ugur Atalay lost in the finals of the A back draw, but once again it was a good showing by the doubles tandem of Kushma and Levinski."

The Colonials will return to action Friday, Oct. 3 in the All-American Championships at Tulsa, OK.
