GW Men’s Tennis Heads to Iowa

SERVING FIRST: The George Washington men’s tennis team begins a four-match trip to Des Moines, Iowa on Friday as the Colonials take on Drake before facing UAB, Illinois State and Omaha.

LAST TIME OUT: The Colonials were unable to grab the win as they fell to Temple on Sunday afternoon at Trump National Golf Club. In singles play, the Buff and Blue were able to log two wins with senior Chris Reynolds topping Juan Araoz, 6-2. He was followed up by sophomore Jakub Behun, who claimed victory at the No. 4 spot to give the Colonials the point.

IN IOWA: Drake has won four-straight, most recently downing Arizona on February 10. UAB is also on a three-match winning streak after defeating North Alabama, 7-0, in its last match-up. Illinois will face the Colonials after edging Belmont, 4-3, on Friday. Omaha enters the weekend after blanking their opponents in the last three matches.

First serve on Friday is slated for 7 p.m., while Saturday’s action will begin at 10 a.m. Sunday’s competition will follow at 10 a.m.
