Top-65 Programs to Match Up on Monday Afternoon
March 9, 2014
WASHINGTON - Due to expected rain in the Lafayette, La., area, No. 55 George Washington men's tennis' match against No. 62 Louisiana-Lafayette has been moved to Monday at 4 p.m. ET (3 p.m. CT).
The Colonials - who were originally scheduled to begin their Spring Break swing through Louisiana on Tuesday - will open their first of three matches in four days on Monday afternoon at the Bourgeois Tennis Courts.
GW (6-4) looks to extend its five-match road win streak when it faces its first ranked opponent in the Ragin' Cajuns after breaking back onto the national scene at No. 55. The Buff and Blue are coming off a 6-1 decision over Navy on Saturday and will continue their road swing at Tulane and Louisiana State on Wednesday and Thursday.
Louisiana (10-3) returns to action for the first time in over a week when the Ragin' Cajuns went 2-1 in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the HEB Tournament of Champions where they defeated DePaul (4-0) and SMU (4-3), but suffered a 4-2 setback to South Alabama.
All three of GW's Spring Break matches in Louisiana will be played at 4 p.m. ET (3 p.m. CT).
