WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington's Matt Hane (Walterboro, SC/Porter-Gaud) was named Men's Tennis Performer of the Week, announced the A-10 offices. Hane went undefeated on the week with singles and doubles victories against both Duquesne and Radford. The wins improved Hane's season record to 16-3 in singles play and 15-8 in doubles play.

Hane defeated Duquesne's Devon Peightal, 6-2, 6-2, at number one singles in GW's 5-2 victory over the Dukes on Friday, March 26. He added an 8-4 doubles victory with partner Jake Jopling (Wexford, PA/North Allegheny) over the team of Peightal and Lacayo. Hane stayed perfect for the week with a 6-4, 6-2 victory at number one singles and an 8-3 victory at number one doubles, as GW beat Radford, 4-1, on Saturday, March 27.

GW will try and make it four in a row, when they travel to Olean, NY to take on St. Bonaventure on Saturday, April 3.
