Men's Tennis Falls To Xavier, 4-1, in Second Round of A-10 Tournament

Colonials Face Temple To Advance In Fifth-Place Bracket

MONROEVILLE, PA - The #6 seed George Washington Men's Tennis team lost its second-round match to #3 Xavier, 4-1, at the Atlantic 10 Championships on Friday, April 11. The Colonials advanced after a 4-0 victory over #11 La Salle earlier in the day.

GW must now take on #9 Temple in order to advance in the fifth-place bracket. If the Colonials win, they will take on the winner of the Saint Joseph's - Dayton match. On the top half of the bracket, host Duquesne will face #1 Richmond and #2 St. Bonaventure will take on Xavier to advance to the semifinal match.

Earlier today, Rhode Island defeated La Salle for the right to play Fordham on Saturday for ninth place.
