GW Men's Cross Country Takes Third at Mount St. Mary's Duals

Sophomore Ryan Tucker led the Colonials with a sixth-place finish at the Mount St. Mary's Duals on Friday.

EMMITSBURG, Md. - Sophomore Ryan Tucker finished in sixth place out of 35 participants to lead three George Washington harriers in the top-15 as the Colonials finished in third place at the season-opening Mount St. Mary's Duals on Friday afternoon.

The Colonials took third place in the duals, finishing with a 1-2 record behind American (3-0) and Navy (2-1) and ahead of the host Mount (0-3). The race was scored in a dual-scoring format with each score receiving a dual-meet score against each of the other opponents.

Tucker paced the Colonials lineup by finishing the 5,000-meter course in 16:06.27 for sixth place. He was joined by freshmen Jordan Pantoalone and Seamus Roddy in the top-15. Pantalone finished in 16:34.04 for 13th place, followed closely by Roddy (14th) in 16:34.72.

Sophomores Kyle Ames (28th, 17:16.58), Marco Siragusa (29th, 17:20.06) and Rob Craven (32nd, 17:56.10) rounded out the Colonials' scoring.

GW returns to action next Saturday at the Catholic Invitational on the campus of Catholic University in northeast Washington, D.C.
