BETHLEHEM, PA - The George Washington University cross country teams concluded their 2007 season at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday afternoon. Junior Collin Stevenson paced the men's team to a 21st place team finish on the day. The women, led once again by junior Audrey Noonan, placed 18th.
Stevenson led the Colonials men with a 96th place finish in 32:26 while fellow junior Keith Moody following in 109th place in 32:42. Senior Joe Altenau closed out his collegiate career finishing 117th overall in 32:59. Sophomores Robbie Lockhart and Stephen Rutgers rounded out the scorers for GW in 127th and 160th, respectively, in 33:07 and 34:03.
Noonan, the GW record-holder, finished 51st out of194 runners in 21:52 to pace the Colonials women on the day. Senior Mae Polhemus' collegiate career ended as the native of Boca Raton, FL finished 61st on the day in 22:03. Sophomore Meaghan Smith finished third on the team, 80th overall in 22:26. Jessica Stern next crossed the line for GW in 23:31, 137th overall. Katie Walsh was the final scorer for GW in her final collegiate race, placing 161st in 24:12. Also competing for the Colonials were senior Michelle Concannon (168th, 24:21) and freshman Laura Petrik (186th, 24:59).
