HYATTSVILLE, Md. - The George Washington men's indoor track team set a pair of new program records along with a handful of personal records by individual competitors at Saturday's Terrapin Invitational at the Prince George's County Sports and Learning Complex.

Senior Ed Delavergne broke his own record in the 300-meter dash on Saturday. After running to a record time of 37.88 at the 2017 Terrapin Invitational, the Warrenton, Virginia, returned to the same venue with a new record-setting performance on Saturday, finishing in 37.79.

Sophomore Jared Nelson also made GW history on Saturday by becoming the first Colonial to compete in a jumping event. The Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania, native participated in the triple jump and placed fourth overall with a jump of 13.68 meters in his fourth attempt.

GW will split its squad next Saturday, January 28, to compete at both the Wesley A. Brown Invitational at Navy and Patriot Games at George Mason.
