Men's Cross Country Takes 17th at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The George Washington men's cross country team concluded its season on Friday afternoon by placing 17th out of 22 teams at the NCAA Mid Atlantic Regional at the Blue and White Golf Courses.

GW's team performance is tied for the second-best showing at the event in program history. The Colonials also finished in 17th place in 2002. The program's best finish was a 16th-place finish at last year's event.

GW's top three finishers all posted new 10,000-meter personal records in the season finale.

Senior Seamus Roddy was GW's top performer, finishing in 61st place out of 155 competitors with a time of 32:00, a 92-second improvement over his previous record.

Junior Ryan DePinto was next across the finish line for GW. He completed the course in 32:30 to claim 91st place. He shaved 37-seconds off his personal best.

Senior Jordan Pantalone followed in 32:41 for 90th place, an 18-second improvement.

Rounding out GW's competitors was freshman Colin Wills (110th, 33:19) and senior Anthony Ruiz (117th, 33:32).
