GW 64
Rhode Island 61

GW Coach Joe McKeown

On the team's performance after losing to Temple on Jan. 27:
"I don't think it was a carryover from Thursday night. We had stretches where we were ready to runthem out, and we couldn't make shots. Had we made a couple of three's in that period, we'd be up nine or 10 and taken them of that zone. Unfortunately, we just didn't shoot very well."

On the number of minutes played by the starters:
"Our schedule played into that a little bit. Losing [Amanda] LoCascio really hurt us. We don't play again until Friday, so we have some time to maybe regroup a little bit going into February, which has traditionally been a great month for us. Hopefully we'll have a good week and get some rest."

Freshman Kimberly Beck
On the team's performance after losing to Temple on Jan. 27:
"We thought we were going to come out stronger because everyone was fired up after the Temple game. We felt we could've pulled that one out. Instead, we came out flat at home, which is a first for us. I don't know what was in the water, but I'm glad we pulled it out at the end."

On playing 40 minutes the past two games:
"I'm going to feel it tonight, I know that. Obviously, high school is a slower game and I wasn't half as tired then, but I like being out there. I can rest when we travel and on our day off."

On the physical nature of the game:
"It was definitely wearing us down, geting hit over and over again. But that's what it's about. Basketball is a contact sport and our guards are not the biggest. I'm sure that was one of their goals, to see if they could knock us around. I think we handled it."

On the performance of Rhode Island's Safi Mojidi:
"She's definitely a great player, and she's going to have a good four years. We have a lof of respect for each other. After the game, we said a few words, so I think it's going to be a good competition during the rest of my time here."
