She also added two blocks and two steals, while seven of her game-high 12 rebounds came on the offensive end. Senior Yolanda Lavender added 11 points and a game-high four assists, followed by eight points and five rebounds from freshman Tara Booker.

The teams' traded the lead five times in the first half and were tied at 20-20 with less than three minutes left in the period until Jessica Adair gave the hosts the lead for good with a fadeaway jumper to make it 22-20 and the Colonials led 24-22 at halftime.

GW widened its lead to 33-24 with a 7-0 spurt early in the second half, but Sierra Cooper scored URI's first eight points of the stanza and helped narrow her team's deficit to 35-30 on a pair of foul shots with 12:37 remaining. Cooper led all players with 20 points.

The Colonials quickly rebuilt their lead to the largest of the game, 41-30, just two minutes later behind a pair of baskets from sophomore Ivy Abiona and transition layup from freshman Tiana Myers.
