George Washington 62, Fordham 51

Fueled by 19 points from senior Anna Montanana, the George Washington University (21-7) women's basketball team overcame a 14-point deficit in the first half to defeat Fordham University (9-21), 62-51, in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship in Washington, DC. The Colonials advance to face the winner of the Richmond/Rhode Island contest in tomorrow's semifinal at 2 p.m.

The Colonials used a 22-2 run late in the second half to open up an 18-point lead and take control of the contest. Senior Jessica Simmonds pitched in 13 points and six rebounds in the win. With the win, George Washington upped its home court winning-streak to 21 straight games.

The Rams were led by senior Jada Jefferson who had 15 points.

Both games of the Atlantic 10 Conference semifinals will be broadcast live on the A-10 television network.
