Montaņana Earns Atlantic 10 Co-Rookie of the Week Award

WASHINGTON, DC (Jan. 7) - The Atlantic 10 awarded freshman forward Anna Montaņana Co-Rookie of the Week for her outstanding play in George Washington University's victory over conference foe La Salle University on January 3.

In the Colonials' only game last week, Montaņana had a career day, setting new highs in points (10), assists (5), steals (3) and blocks (2) while collecting six rebounds in 27 minutes of play versus the Explorers in GW's first Atlantic 10 game of the season. Her well-balanced performance earned her the Co-Rookie of the Week award on Jan. 6, along with Fordham freshman center Kyshawn Ruff.
