Montaņana Named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week

WASHINGTON, DC - George Washington forward Anna Montaņana (Valencia, Spain/St. Maria El Pilar) was named Altlantic 10 Player of the Week, announced the A-10 offices, on February 1. She is currently averaging 12.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.
Montaņana averaged a triple-double in two games this week with 12.5 points per game, 11 rebounds per game and 11 assists per game. She recorded the conference's first triple-double of the season and second in GW history with 11 points, 12 rebounds and 13 assists versus La Salle on Jan. 31. She was close to doing the same versus Duquesne on Jan. 31when she finished with 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.
The Colonials will look to extend their win streak to seven when they host Fordham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6 at Smith Center.
