WASHINGTON, DC - The No. 9/9 George Washington women's basketball team begins its final weekend of regular-season play by hosting Saint Joseph's at the Smith Center on Friday night. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 pm.

No. 9/9 GW (23-2, 12-0 A-10) is in the midst of a 16-game winning streak and will put its 12-game home winning streak on the line against the Hawks on Friday. The Colonials put an end to Charlotte's 22-game home winning streak with a 64-59 road victory last Thursday, then defeated Saint Louis 64-47 on Sunday.

The Colonials have won the previous three meetings in the series, all of which have been played at Saint Joseph's Fieldhouse. GW trails in the all-time series 21-24 and in head-to-head meetings at the Smith Center 10-12, but has won 20 of the last 29 matchups.

Sophomore Jessica Adair averaged a double-double of 12.5 points and 12.0 rebounds for the Colonials last week. Junior Sarah-Jo Lawrence scored 16 points against both the 49ers and Billikens. Senior Kenan Cole scored seven points in 29 minutes at Saint Louis after missing the final 32 minutes of the Charlotte game with a sprained ankle.

Junior Kimberly Beck was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award final nominee list on Wednesday, an honor which recognizes Division I's top point guard. Beck is one of 11 final nominees, with three finalist and one winner to be chosen during Final Four Weekend.

Saint Joseph's (15-11, 7-5 A-10) lost at Dayton 78-77 in its last outing. The Hawks failed to capitalize on a pair of two-point leads in the final 24 seconds, with Flyers' guard Kathy Guin hitting a three-pointer with 1.4 seconds left for the final margin. Senior Ayahna Cornish scored a career-high 35 points, including a school-record 21 at the free throw line, to lead Saint Joseph's. Cornish averages a team-high 17.s ppg. The Hawks haven't lost consecutive games since dropping three straight from Nov. 17-25 earlier this season.
