Women's Basketball Features on NBC and CBS 5pm News Tonight

WASHINGTON, DC - The GW women's basketball team will have features on local television tonight as part of the NBC 4 and CBS 9 local news at 5:00 p.m. A feature on the Adair twins (Jazmine and Jessica) will air at approximately 5:50 on NBC Channel 4. a feature on Sarah-Jo Lawrence (the A-10's Sixth Player of the Year) will air at approximately 5:45 on CBS Channel 9. No. 1 seed GW plays No. 9 Richmond, who beat No. 8 La Salle 60-53 in the first round, on Saturday at noon at the Atlantic 10 Tournament hosted by Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia, PA.

The Colonials are the No. 1 seed in this weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship held today through Monday at Saint Joseph's in Philadelphia. GW got a first-round bye and was crowned Atlantic 10 Regular Season Co-Champions by defeating Charlotte, 69-65, in the final game of the season at Charles E. Smith Athletic Center.

No. 1 GW plays No. 9 Richmond on Saturday at noon. (No. 9 Richmond beat No. 8 La Salle 60-53 in the first round).

With a win, No. 1 GW plays on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. against either No. 4 Xavier (first-round bye), No. 5, Saint Joseph's (tournament host) or No. 12 Fordham. This quarterfinal game will be televised on the A-10 Network.

With a win the Colonials would play in the Atlantic 10 Championship at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, which is televised on ESPN2.
