Women's Basketball to Hold Selection Sunday Watch Party

The George Washington women's basketball team will gather for the unveiling of the 2005 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship pairings on Sunday, March 13 at the Hippodrome, located on the fifth floor of the Marvin Center (800 21st Street, NW) on the GW campus.

The watch party begins at 4:00 p.m. with this year's field of 64 slated to be announced at 5:00 p.m. on ESPN. Fans and media are invited to attend as GW head coach Joe McKeown and players will be available for interviews following the unveiling of the bracket.

Pizza and soft drinks will be provided.

The Colonials advanced to the championship game of the 2005 Atlantic 10 Tournament and are 22-8 overall. Seniors Anna Montañana and Jessica Simmonds both earned all-conference honors following the regular season and were also selected to the All-Tournament Team. Freshman Kimberly Beck was named the league's Rookie of the Year.

The Colonials have made 11 previous trips to the NCAA Tournament.
