No. 15/13 GW Women's Basketball NCAA Tournament Selection Show Reception Set for Monday

March 11, 2007

WASHINGTON, DC - The George Washington Department of Athletics and women's basketball team will hold a NCAA Tournament Selection Monday reception in the WoW Wingery on the fifth floor of the campus' Marvin Center this Monday, March 12, beginning at 7:30 pm. The Marvin Center is located at 800 21st Street, NW, between H and Eye Streets.

ESPN's NCAA Women's Tournament Selection Special will begin at 8:00 pm on Monday, therefore fans and media are being requested to arrive early to enjoy hors d'ouerves and refreshments, as well as a meet-and-greet with the women's basketball players.

No. 15/13 GW finished the league's regular season undefeated at 14-0 and despite falling in the A-10 Championship semifinals on March 4, closed its season at 26-3 overall, the best percentage-wise record in school history, and was ranked in the nation's Top 10 for four weeks. After enjoying one of the best seasons in program history, the Colonials will hope to earn their best NCAA Tournament seeding since being a No. 5 seed in the East Region in 1997.
