"At GW I've learned what it takes to consistently work hard on a day to day basis. I have also learned that hard work does not go unnoticed. As both a student and an athlete I've been able to apply what I learn in the classroom and at practice into life events, in times of struggle and triumph. Through self discipline and determination I feel that GW has prepared me for a lifetime of success. My team to me is a group of unique individuals who have come together to achieve a common goal; however during this process a 'team' has been formed through the bonds built amongst the athletes in pursuit of excellence and achievement of overall goals. My team is my family. A team is united under common circumstances and hours spent sweating, bleeding, laughing, and crying together. Alone we are athletes; together as a team, we are a family."
